It’s also worth noting that students competing while the awards are for students who plan to earn a 4 year degree, it’s OK start at 2-year school. Manage that well, and $20,000 can go a long way towards the total 4 year costs.

The great news is that there are many scholarships awarded, and the
amounts are large. The bad news is that this competition is extremely
competitive. I would not even considering applying if I was not in the top 5% of my
class and/or truly outstanding in some way.
